Retinal Tears
Retinal tears are a breakdown of the peripheral retina that can result in retinal detachment and sereous loss of vision. Retinal tears may develop without any noticeable signs or symptoms. In other cases, the vitreous gel pulling away from the retina will cause flashes of light while forming a tear. Floaters may or may not be seen in association with a tear. These floaters will appear as black spot "floating" in front of your vision.
If you expierence any of these symptoms please contact us immediately for evaluation. Tears can easily be treated with a retinal laser procedure before sereous loss of vision occurs.
